Andrea's Closet

Rent. Wear. Return

Terms & Conditions

This applies to all rental items booked through Andrea’s Closet, unless otherwise specified.

1. Introduction

1.1 Overview

Founded in 2023 in South Florida, Andrea’s Closet was created with the mission of providing stylish, semi-formal and formal wear to women in their 20s and 30s who want to look chic without overspending. Our goal is to redefine occasion dressing by offering fashionable rental pieces that help eliminate the "wear it once and never again" mindset. With a curated selection of feminine and on-trend dresses, Andrea’s Closet is your go-to destination for making a lasting impression—without the lasting price tag.

1.2 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Andrea’s Closet’s services—including browsing our website, placing an order, or engaging with our rental offerings—you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. We encourage you to read the full Terms and Conditions before proceeding with any rental purchase.

2. Elgibility

2.1 Account and Payment Requirements

To rent from Andrea’s Closet, a customer account must be created along with providing a valid credit or debit card. By creating an account and placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

2.2 Geographic Limitations

Andrea’s Closet currently ships rentals within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii only. We do not ship to U.S. territories or international locations at this time.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To rent from Andrea’s Closet, all customers must have an account created by our team. During account setup, you will be required to provide accurate and complete information, including your full name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and a valid credit or debit card.

3.2 Updating Account Information

It is your responsibility to notify us when account details—including contact information, addresses, and payment methods need to be updated. Failure to update this information may result in service disruption or delivery issues for which Andrea’s Closet is not liable.

3.3 Account Suspension or Termination

Andrea’s Closet reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe that you have violated these Terms of Service, provided false information, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the service. In such cases, you may be held liable for any outstanding fees or damages incurred.

4. Rental Process

4.1 How to Rent

All garments from Andrea’s Closet are available for rent through our online platform. While we do not operate a physical storefront, local renters may contact us to inquire about limited in-person services. To begin the rental process, browse our collection and select your desired dress. Click the “Rent” button on the dress page or in the main menu, then complete the rental request form.

Please allow up to 48 hours to receive a response with confirmation and next steps. Garments are not officially reserved until full payment has been received. Submission of the rental request form alone does not guarantee availability.

4.2 Rental Duration and Return Deadlines

Each rental includes a 3-day usage period, not including shipping time to and from the renter. The 3-day rental period begins on the day of the event date. On the third day, you are required to repackage the dress using the provided return materials and ship it back to Andrea’s Closet. If the third day falls on a Sunday, the return date will be the next day.

If you are traveling with the dress or require an adjusted schedule, please notify us in advance to discuss possible accommodations. Extensions are not guaranteed and must be approved before your scheduled event.

4.3 Availability Disclaimer

Andrea’s Closet cannot guarantee availability of any specific item until payment is received and booking is confirmed. Dresses are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. If your selected item becomes unavailable due to overlap in bookings or unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you promptly to offer alternative options or issue a refund.

5. Payment and Fees

5.1 Payment Method

Andrea’s Closet accepts credit or debit card payments only. The chosen card will be charged for the full rental cost at the time of booking and are processed securely through Square, a third-party payment platform.

Upon placing a rental order, a customer profile will be created in our system, and your credit card will be securely stored on file. You will be required to sign a credit card authorization agreement, granting Andrea’s Closet permission to charge your card for the rental fee and any additional charges as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

By submitting your payment information, you certify that:

  • You are authorized to use the provided credit card.

  • You will not dispute the charge if Andrea’s Closet has fulfilled its obligations to provide the rented item(s).

5.2 Late Return Fees

Rentals must be shipped back by the third day of the rental period. If the return shipment has not been initiated (i.e., tracking does not show movement) by the return due date, a late fee of $10 per day will be charged until the item is in transit or received.

5.3 Replacement Fees for Lost or Unreturned Items

If an item is not returned and no valid tracking number is provided, the item will be considered lost or stolen. In this case:

  • The renter will be charged 120% of the item’s stated retail price (RRP), as listed in the product description.

  • This charge will be applied to the card on file without further notice.

5.4 Authorization for Additional Charges

By renting from Andrea’s Closet, you authorize us to charge your card on file for any applicable fees, including:

  • Late return fees

  • Damage or cleaning fees (see Section 8)

  • Replacement fees for lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged items

If the charge cannot be completed using the card on file, you will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount, which must be paid within 5 business days.

5.5 Failed or Reversed Payments

If your payment is reversed, declined, or disputed:

  • You agree to pay the full outstanding amount within 48 hours of notification.

  • Failure to resolve payment within this timeframe may result in cancellation of your booking.

  • If the item(s) have already been shipped, you remain fully responsible for the full rental amount and any associated fees.

6. Delivery and Return Policy

6.1 Delivery Options

Andrea’s Closet ships all rental garments directly to the shipping address provided at the time of booking. For renters located in South Florida, local pickup may be available for select items upon request. Please contact us in advance to confirm local availability and make arrangements.

6.2 Shipping Timelines and Delays

All items are shipped via USPS Ground. Delivery typically takes 7 to 12 business days, depending on the destination. While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery, Andrea’s Closet is not responsible for delays caused by the postal service or other third-party carriers. If the item arrives too late for you and unable to wear the garment for the event, you will be able to return the garment for a partial refund. See section 9: Cancellations and Refunds for more details.

We recommend placing your order well in advance of your event to avoid any unexpected shipping delays.

6.3 Return Process and Garment Condition Expectations

Rented garments must be shipped back to Andrea’s Closet on the third day of your rental period. All return materials, including a prepaid return shipping label, are included in the original packaging.

We expect items to be returned in good condition with normal wear only. Dresses should not show any excessive damage, such as large stains, tears, or alterations. (Please refer to Section 8 for more on damage policies.)

6.4 Return Packaging Instructions

To ensure a smooth return process, please follow these steps:

  1. Place the dress in the provided plastic garment bag and reuse the original mailer to package the item securely.

    • Do not wash the garment; Andrea’s Closet professionally cleans all returned items.

  2. Affix the prepaid return label to the outside of the mailer using packing tape.

    • If the original mailer is damaged, you may use any secure alternative mailer (e.g., an Amazon bubble mailer or equivalent).

  3. Return the package via your local post office or a USPS drop box.

    • If scheduling a USPS pickup from your home, please do not leave the package in plain sight. Place it in a discreet, secure location (e.g., behind a planter or on the side of your home) to reduce the risk of package theft.

Failure to return the item on time or in proper condition may result in additional charges (see Section 5: Payment and Fees).

7. Garment Condition and Use

7.1 Cleaning and Maintenance Responsibilities

Andrea’s Closet is responsible for all cleaning and garment care. Renters are not permitted to clean any dresses. Each item is inspected and professionally cleaned upon return in accordance with its specific care instructions. This ensures consistent quality and proper garment handling.

7.2 Expectations of Care During the Rental Period

While in your possession, we ask that you treat all rented garments with the same care and consideration as if they were your own. Normal wear is expected, but renters are responsible for avoiding unnecessary damage.

To help preserve the condition of each item:

  • Avoid contact with self-tanner, makeup, oils, or beverages that could cause stains.

  • Refrain from wearing the garment near abrasive surfaces or accessories (e.g., sequins, rhinestones, metal hardware) that may snag or tear the fabric.

  • When not in use, hang the dress in a safe space away from sharp or embellished clothing.

  • Steaming or ironing is permitted only on garments that say so on the garment tag.

  • If traveling, keep the garment in the protective plastic garment bag provided (not the outer mailer) to avoid wrinkles or damage during transit.

7.3 Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • Sharing the garment with anyone other than the individual who made the rental booking.

  • Altering the garment in any way, including but not limited to:

    • Hemming or sewing

    • Cutting fabric, tags, strings, or internal structure

    • Adding embellishments, adhesives, or accessories to the dress

Unauthorized alterations or misuse will result in damage fees or full replacement charges as outlined in Section 8.

8. Damage, Loss, or Theft

8.1 Damage

Renters are fully responsible for any damage to garments while in their possession. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Rips, tears, or holes

  • Stains (e.g., makeup, food, self-tanner, oil, or other substances)

  • Any other form of wear beyond what is considered normal use

Normal wear may include minor marks such as a lightly soiled hem or light perspiration. Each item is thoroughly inspected upon return. If damage is found, repair fees will be assessed based on the extent and type of damage.

If the garment is deemed damaged beyond repair, Andrea’s Closet reserves the right to charge the credit card on file up to 120% of the Retail Replacement Price (RRP) as stated in the dress description.

Additionally, renters will be held responsible for any missing accessories or items included with the original shipment (e.g., pins, belts, sashes, tags, garment bags).

8.2 Loss or Theft

Andrea’s Closet is not liable for loss, theft, or non-delivery of garments once they are in transit.

  • If a package is lost en route to the renter, we will work with the carrier to track and resolve the issue. However, no refund will be issued for delayed or lost shipments.

  • If a return package is lost or not received, and the tracking number shows no movement or delivery confirmation, the renter will be held responsible for the full replacement cost.

  • If a return shipment is never scanned or activated by the postal carrier, the item will be considered unreturned, and Andrea’s Closet reserves the right to charge the renter 120% of the RRP.

We strongly encourage all renters to retain their return receipt and tracking information as proof of shipment.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

9.1 Cancellation Policy

For cancellations on all rented items, you will be entitled to a full refund if:

  • Your cancellation request is received in the first 24 hours after placing your order, as long as it is still more than 7 days from your booking start date and your package hasn't yet been dispatched, OR

  • Your cancellation request is received 21 or more days prior to your booking start date.

If your cancellation request is received 14 or more days prior to your booking start date (but less than 21 days as per above), you will be entitled to a partial refund, not including postage costs if the shipping labels were created.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via our contact form or email. The cancellation date will be determined based on the system timestamp of the received request.

9.2 Refund Policy

You will be entitled to a full refund, including the cost of postage, in any of the following circumstances:

  • The item arrives in a condition that is not considered acceptable.

  • The incorrect item is sent to you.

  • The item arrives too late for you to wear it to your planned occasion (conditions apply, see below).

If you are dissatisfied with your rental item upon receipt, you may request a refund; however, the following conditions apply:

  • You must notify Andrea’s Closet within 24 hours of receiving the item.

  • The refund will be processed minus the cost of shipping both to and from your address.

  • The item must not be worn and must be returned immediately using the provided prepaid shipping label.

If the garment arrives too late for you to wear it to your event, you may receive a partial refund if the following are done:

·  Ship the garment back to us within 2 days of receiving the delivery.

·  The garment was not worn and displays no damage.

Requests for a refund should be received within 24 hours after the package was delivered. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment used during checkout. You may need to wait until the item is returned back to Andrea’s Closet before a refund can be approved. This especially applies to issues with condition, such as faults, damage or stains. The item will need to be assessed prior to the refund being approved and processed.

10. Promotions and Discounts

10.1 Terms and Validity

Promotional offers, discount codes, and special deals are extended at the sole discretion of Andrea’s Closet and may be modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotional offers are non-transferable and intended for use only by the recipient.

  • Discounts may not be combined with other promotions or applied retroactively to past orders.

  • All promotions must be redeemed within one 1 year from the date of issue.

Andrea’s Closet reserves the right to cancel or deny the use of any promotional offer in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or violation of the terms outlined above.

13. Limitation of Liability

Andrea’s Closet does not offer in-person try-ons prior to rental. While we strive to provide accurate sizing information and detailed product descriptions, we cannot guarantee that a garment will fit each individual perfectly or meet personal style preferences.

By renting from Andrea’s Closet, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with selecting garments without trying them on in advance. We encourage all customers to review size information and contact us with any questions before placing an order.

Andrea’s Closet is not liable for delays, loss, or damages caused by third-party shipping carriers, including delays that may affect your ability to wear the item for a scheduled event. Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility for timely delivery rests with the shipping carrier. For more information about our shipping policies and liability for lost or stolen items, please refer to Section 8: Damage, Loss, or Theft.

If your order arrives and the garment does not meet your expectations, please refer to Section 9: Cancellation and Refunds for your available options. For further assistance, contact us directly through the Contact Us page on our website.

14. Indemnification

By using Andrea’s Closet’s services, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Andrea’s Closet, its owner(s), employees, agents, affiliates, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of or inability to use the rented garments;

  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions;

  • Any misuse, damage, loss, or theft of garments while in your possession;

  • Any third-party claims related to your breach of this agreement;

  • Any acts or omissions, whether intentional or negligent, that result in harm to the garment or others;

  • Failure to return the rented garment in the condition and timeframe specified.

This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of your rental agreement and your use of Andrea’s Closet’s services. Andrea’s Closet reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you agree to cooperate fully with us in asserting any available defenses.

15. Modification of Terms

Andrea’s Closet reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes may be made to reflect updates to our services, business practices, legal or regulatory requirements, or for any other reason deemed necessary.

It is the responsibility of the renter to review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions prior to placing an order. Continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

If material changes are made that affect your rights or obligations under this agreement, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as by email or through a notice on our website. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should discontinue your use of Andrea’s Closet’s services.
